Aviation Law - koukuuho

A law relating to aviation. It is the same as air law in the narrow sense. Each country in the world has signed an aviation treaty and has its own domestic aviation law or aviation code. In Japan, the 1952 Aviation Act is the current domestic law. This Aviation Act is in accordance with the 1944 Chicago Convention on International Civil Aviation and its Annexes, and aims to develop aviation by establishing a method for ensuring aviation safety and order in the aviation business. Its contents stipulate matters related to general provisions, aircraft registration and safety, aviation personnel, air routes, airports, aviation safety facilities, aircraft operation, air transport business, foreign aircraft, etc.

航空に関する法。狭義でいう空法と同じ。世界の各国はそれぞれ航空条約を結び、国内法の航空法または航空法典をもっている。わが国では国内法としては、1952年（昭和27）の航空法が現行法となっている。この航空法は1944年のシカゴ国際民間航空条約と条約付属書に準拠して、航空の安全を図る方式と航空事業の秩序を確立し、航空発達を目的としている。内容は、総則、航空機の登録と安全性、航空従事者、航空路、飛行場、航空安全施設、航空機の運航、航空運送事業、外国航空機などに関する事項について定めている。
