Sympathetic nerves

Japanese:
Sympathetic nerves
The parasympathetic nervous system is a nerve that mediates sympathetic action, and together with the parasympathetic nervous system, it is an efferent nerve that emerges from the spinal cord and controls mainly smooth muscle and glandular cells. It acts in an antagonistic manner to the parasympathetic nervous system, and its center is the hypothalamus in the diencephalon. Sympathetic nerve stimulation causes pupil dilation, stimulation of the cardiovascular system (facial pallor, increased blood pressure, increased pulse rate), increased metabolism, and hyperglycemia, but inhibits the digestive and absorptive functions of the gastrointestinal tract. As a result, conditions suitable for physical activity are created, and the body is actually in a state of sympathetic tension during activity or exercise.
