Power - Kenryoku

Japanese:
Power - Kenryoku
When a person (group) makes another person (group) act in accordance with his or her will, that person (group) is said to have power. In reality, power has multiple aspects, such as various forms of "coercive force" that forces others to act against their will, "value endowment" that distributes benefits to others, "authority" that wins the internal submission of others, and "manipulation" that makes others obey without their realizing it. Modern state power began as a concentration of coercive force, especially violence, but in modern states, obtaining submission through authority and manipulating the masses are important means of power.
