Grigorii Andreevich Gershuni

Russian revolutionary. Leader of the Socialist Revolutionary Party. A Jewish pharmacist from Kovno County, Lithuania, he participated in the founding of the Socialist Revolutionary Party, organized the party's combat group that used terrorist methods, and became its leader. He was arrested in May 1903 and sentenced to life imprisonment, but in 1906 he escaped from Akatui Prison in Eastern Siberia and traveled to Japan and Europe. He died of an illness shortly thereafter. VM Chernov called him "our combat commander" and "commander." [Haruki Wada]

ロシアの革命家。エス･エル党の指導者。リトアニアのコブノ県出身のユダヤ人薬剤師で，エス･エル党の結党に参画し，テロリズムの手段を用いる同党戦闘団を組織し，その指導者となる。1903年5月逮捕され，終身刑に処せられたが，06年東シベリアのアカトゥイ監獄から脱走，日本そしてヨーロッパへ渡った。ほどなくして病死。V.M.チェルノフは，彼のことを〈われわれの戦闘指揮官〉〈司令官〉とよんでいる。【和田春樹】
