Japanese: 繫駕法 - けいがほう

This refers to the way livestock are tethered when pulling agricultural implements such as carts and plows. Depending on the method of tethering, the livestock's natural strength can be more effectively utilized, making it possible to significantly improve work efficiency. Tethering methods have evolved over time and have been deeply involved in transportation and improved production in each region. The yoke-type tethering method was common in ancient times. This method also uses belly bands, but basically involves tethering the horse with the neck skin and yoke so that the center of pulling force is over the horse's spine, and is seen prominently in the single-shaft, two-horse chariots of the ancient Orient and the Shang and Zhou dynasties of China.

家畜に車や犂などの農具を牽引させる際の繫ぎ方をいう。繫駕の方法いかんによって，家畜がもつ本来の力がより効果的に発揮でき，作業能率を著しく向上させることが可能となる。繫駕法は時代とともに進歩があり，それぞれの地域の運輸や生産向上に深くかかわってきた。　古代に一般的であったのは軛（くびき）式繫駕法であった。この方式は腹帯なども並用するが，基本的には頸皮（くびかわ）と軛とで牽引力の重点が馬の脊柱の上にくるように繫ぐもので，古代オリエントや中国の殷･周時代の単轅2頭立て式戦車に顕著にみられる。
