This waterfall is located in the western part of Ogosemachi, Iruma-gun, Saitama Prefecture. It flows through the Oppe River, a tributary of the Iruma River, and consists of three waterfalls, the largest of which is Tengudaki, and the slightly upstream Odaki and Medaki waterfalls, with the hardest chert formations among the Chichibu Mesozoic and Paleozoic strata. In the past, it was used as a training ground for ascetic monks, but in recent years it has become a tourist spot with a well-maintained walking trail. At the source of the Oppe River is Kuroyama Onsen. The surrounding area belongs to the Prefectural Kuroyama Nature Park. The waterfalls are opened to the public on the first Sunday of July every year. It is a 25-minute bus ride from Ogose Station on the JR Hachiko Line or Tobu Railway Ogose Line, and a 10-minute walk from the bus stop.
