Kuromatsunai [town] - Kuromatsunai
A town in Suttsu County, Hokkaido. It occupies an isthmus on the Oshima Peninsula between Uchiura Bay and Suttsu Bay, and is served by the Hakodate Main Line. The town produces mainly dairy farming, as well as glutinous rice and potatoes. Utasai is the northernmost area where beech trees grow naturally (a natural monument). Area: 345.65 km2 . Population: 3,250 (2010).

北海道寿都(すっつ)郡の町。内浦湾と寿都湾にはさまれた渡島(おしま)半島の地峡部を占め，函館本線が通じる。酪農を中心とした農業を営み，もち米，ジャガイモなどを産する。歌才(うたさい)はブナの自生北限地（天然記念物）。345.65km2。3250人（2010）。
