1882‐1956
Finnish geographer. He was professor at the universities of Dorpart, Helsinki, and Turku, and made many achievements in the fields of geography and geography. He studied geography under the supervision of Rosberg, and with the support of the Finno-Ugric Society, he investigated the South Siberian Mountains, Northern Mongolia, and the Altai region, earning his doctorate with "Considerations on the glacial period in Northwestern Mongolia and the South Siberian Mountains" (1910). He also published "The topography and formation of the Altai Mountains" (1917) and "The geological structure of the Northeastern Altai" (1945).

フィンランドの地理学者。ドルパート,ヘルシンキ,トゥルクの各大学教授を歴任,地形学と地理学本質論について多くの業績をあげた。ロスベルクの指導で地理学を専攻したグラーネは,フィン・ウゴル協会の援助のもとに南シベリア山地や北モンゴル,アルタイ地方を調査し,《北西モンゴルと南シベリア山地の氷河期考》(1910)で学位を取得,さらに《アルタイ山地の地形とその成立》(1917)と《北東アルタイの地体構造》(1945)を公刊。
