Alpha is a spectroscopic binary star with a magnitude of 2.1 and a spectral type of B3, 230 light years away. Beta is a magnitude of 3.6 and a spectral type of A5, 110 light years away. There is also the globular cluster NGC6752. Its approximate position is right ascension 19h10m, declination -65°. It reaches its culmination at 8pm in early September.
