Yosami

Japanese: 依網 - よさみ

Also written as Yorara. An ancient place name. Its origin is unclear, but it is said to be an abbreviation of Yosachiami or sandy area. According to the Wamyōshō, there is O(Yorara)-go in Sumiyoshi-gun, Settsu Province, Yorara-go in Tajihi-gun, Kawachi Province, and Yorina(Ami)-go in Aomi-gun, Mikawa Province. Of these, the Settsu and Kawachi villages are the areas where Yorami Miyake was established around the 5th century, and although they were in different provinces and districts, they were adjacent areas. Currently, Oyorami Shrine is located in Niwai-cho, Sumiyoshi-ku, Osaka City, and the area of Yorami is identified with this area.

依羅とも記す。古代の地名。その語源は美幸網（よさちあみ）の約語とも，また砂地のことともいうが未詳。《和名抄》によると摂津国住吉郡に大(依)羅郷，河内国丹比（たじひ）郡に依羅郷があり，また三河国碧海（あおみ）郡に依納(網)郷がみえる。このうち摂津･河内の郷は，5世紀ごろ依網屯倉（みやけ）が設けられた地で，国郡は異なるが相接する地域であった。現在大阪市住吉区庭井町に大依羅神社があり，依網の地はこの地一帯に比定されている。
