Arab editor of voyage records active in the first half of the 10th century. Dates of birth and death unknown. Born in the port city of Shiraf on the eastern coast of the Persian Gulf. Due to his passionate and scholarly interest in the East, he collected information from merchants and travelers and wrote a record of China and India, the Sino-Indian Narrative (c. 916). This work includes the records of the merchant Sulayman, who wrote about his voyage to India and China around 851, and the observations of Ibn Wahhab, who arrived in Khumdan (Chang'an), the capital of China at the time, from Shiraf in 870.

10世紀前半に活躍したアラブの航海記編集家。生没年不詳。ペルシア湾東岸の港町シーラーフに生まれる。東方への熱烈なしかも学究的な興味のゆえに，商人，旅行者からの情報を収集して，中国，インドに関する記録《シナ，インド物語》(916ころ)を著した。本書には851年ころインド，中国への航海を記した商人スレイマンの記録，870年シーラーフから時の中国の都Khumdan(長安)に到着したイブン･ワハブの見聞等が収められている。
