〘Noun〙 The main part of the torso of O-yoroi. It is made by binding small metal plates horizontally and wrapping around the torso for protection. It is most often made in four sections, with a standing pole on top and a grass skirt on the bottom. It is also called the long side because it becomes long when unfolded. 〘名〙 大鎧の胴の主要部。小札(こざね)を横綴にし、胴の周囲を包み防御するもので、四段仕立てが最も多く、上に立挙(たてあげ)、下に草摺(くさずり)をつける。展開すると長くなるので長側(ながかわ)ともいう。
