A functionally efficient position for daily life when joint movement is restricted. Each joint has its own range of motion, and overall movement is achieved by combining these ranges. However, the normal range of motion of these joints can be restricted by various diseases, injuries, or cast immobilization. In such cases, there are positions that are relatively convenient for daily life even if they restrict movement. Such positions are called good positions, convenient positions, or functional positions, while the opposite, inconvenient positions are called poor positions or inconvenient positions.
