Japanese: キナクリドン顔料 - キナクリドンがんりょう（英語表記）quinacridone pigment

A type of high-grade organic pigment recently developed by DuPont in the United States, it comes in a range of colors from yellow to purple, with a focus on red. It has excellent pigment suitability comparable to phthalocyanine pigments, which provide blue to green colors, and has an extremely high light fastness of class 8, as well as the highest values for heat and solvent resistance. It is used in high-grade paints for automobiles, high-grade printing inks, and for coloring plastics. In addition to the basic chemical structure shown below, there are various derivatives. Properties also change depending on the crystal structure.

近年アメリカのデュポン社で開発された高級有機顔料の一種で，色は赤色を中心として黄色～紫色に及ぶ。青色～緑色を提供するフタロシアニン顔料に匹敵する優れた顔料適性をもち，耐光堅牢度は8級と著しく大きく，耐熱･耐溶媒性なども最高の値を示す。自動車用などの高級塗料，高級な印刷インキ，プラスチックの着色などに使用される。下に示す基本的な化学構造のもの以外に各種の誘導体がある。また結晶構造によっても性質の変化がある。
