...Since this manuscript was first printed by Manutius in 1505, Italian humanists were inspired by it and aimed to create a modern version of Horapollon. Archat published Emblemata Liber (1531), an allegorical image, in Augsburg, and caused a great sensation. By 1600, 90 editions had been published, including French translations, and 150 editions including later editions.
