A 13th century French author (Trouber). Date of birth and death unknown. Adne was his nickname, and officially he was called "Adane the Musician." He served Henry III, Duke of Brabant, and after his death Guy de Dampierre, Count of Flanders, and in 1270 he joined the Crusades and went to Tunis. He is known for rewriting the heroic poems of the previous century in the style of romances (narratives) in 13th century verse French, and his main works include "Boubon de Comarcis," "Ogier, Knight of Denmark," "The Belt of Great Foot," and the epic romance "Cleomades," which has nearly 20,000 lines.

フランス，13世紀の作家(トルベール)。生没年不詳。アドネは愛称で，公式には〈楽人アダン〉といわれた。ブラバン公アンリ3世，その没後はフランドル伯ギ･ド･ダンピエールに仕え，1270年には十字軍に加わってチュニスまで赴いている。前世紀の武勲詩を13世紀の韻文フランス語でロマンス(物語)風に書き直したことで知られ，おもな作品に《ブーボン･ド･コマルシス》《デンマークの騎士オジエ》《大足のベルト》と，2万行に近い大作ロマンス《クレオマデス》がある。
