[1] 〘名〙① 一つの音声。一回のかけ声。また、一曲。※源氏（1001‐14頃）帚木「いまひとこゑ。聞きはやすべき人のある時」② 一回の鳴き声。特に、ホトトギス、鶴などの鳴き声にいう。※万葉（８Ｃ後）一九・四二〇九「ほととぎすいまだ来鳴かず〈略〉恋ふれども比等己恵(ヒトコヱ)だにもいまだ聞えず」[2] 端唄・歌沢・小唄の曲名。成立年不詳。江戸時代後期のもの。待ちぼうけをくって、短夜にホトトギスを聴く女の心をうたった曲。本調子もの。

いっ‐しょう ‥シャウ【一声】

〘名〙① 一度声を出すこと。ひとこえ。いっせい。〔日葡辞書（1603‐04）〕② 一声の称名念仏。〔往生礼讚偈‐後・序〕③ 悉曇字母(しったんじぼ)（=梵字）で最初の字である（ａ）の音で、言語の根本と考えられていた。阿字。※性霊集‐七（835頃）笠大夫奉為先妣造大曼荼羅像願文一首「弌声之義。歴_レ却難_レ尽」
