One voice - Issei

[1] 〘名〙① 一つの音声。一回のかけ声。また、一曲。※源氏(1001‐14頃)帚木「いまひとこゑ。聞きはやすべき人のある時」② 一回の鳴き声。特に、ホトトギス、鶴などの鳴き声にいう。※万葉(8C後)一九・四二〇九「ほととぎす いまだ来鳴かず〈略〉恋ふれども 比等己恵(ヒトコヱ)だにも いまだ聞えず」[2] 端唄・歌沢・小唄の曲名。成立年不詳。江戸時代後期のもの。待ちぼうけをくって、短夜にホトトギスを聴く女の心をうたった曲。本調子もの。

いっ‐しょう ‥シャウ【一声】

〘名〙① 一度声を出すこと。ひとこえ。いっせい。〔日葡辞書(1603‐04)〕② 一声の称名念仏。〔往生礼讚偈‐後・序〕③ 悉曇字母(しったんじぼ)(=梵字)で最初の字である(a)の音で、言語の根本と考えられていた。阿字。※性霊集‐七(835頃)笠大夫奉為先妣造大曼荼羅像願文一首「弌声之義。歴却難尽」
