Pseudomyopia - Gikinshi

...When the degree of myopia becomes stronger, contact lenses are easier to use because they require a weaker degree of vision. When you continue to study, read, or do other activities that require looking at something close, the ciliary muscles become abnormally tense, causing a temporary state of myopia. This is sometimes treated as pseudomyopia (false myopia), but since myopia is caused by the relative elongation of the eye axis, it is rare for the condition to actually improve even with treatment.
