Japanese: 行遍 - ぎょうへん

1181-1265 ^* A monk from the Kamakura period.
Born in the first year of the Yowa Era. He studied Shingon Buddhism at Ninna-ji Temple in Kyoto and received the initiation ceremony from Doho Hoshinno. In the second year of the Hoji Era, he was appointed Daisojo, Ichichoja of Toji Temple, and Gojiso. In the same year, he was held responsible for the Honmatsu-so (main temple and subtemple) uprising at Mt. Koya, and was removed from his position as Chochoja of Toji Temple and his concurrent position as Zasu (abbot of Koyasan Daidenpoin Temple). He passed away on December 15, the first year of the Bun'ei Era, at the age of 84. His pen names were Sonsho-in and Bodai-in. His works include "Sangoshu."

養和元年生まれ。京都仁和(にんな)寺で真言をまなび,道法法親王から灌頂(かんじょう)をうける。宝治(ほうじ)2年大僧正,東寺一長者,護持僧。同年高野山の本末騒動の責任をとわれ,東寺長者および兼任の高野山大伝法院座主(ざす)職をとめられた。文永元年12月15日死去。84歳。号は尊勝院,菩提院。著作に「参語集」。
