Drama music - gikyokuongaku (English)

Japanese: 戯曲音楽 - ぎきょくおんがく（英語表記）Xì qǔ yīn yuè

One of the five major genres of Chinese music (folk songs and ancient songs, song and dance and dance music, chanting music, drama music, and folk instrumental music). Chinese drama is a comprehensive art that combines literature, fine arts, music, dance, and theater, and there are currently more than 400 types of plays performed throughout China. These types of plays are usually classified into five types based on the type of chamber music (tune) they use: (1) Kunlun system, (2) Gaochun system, (3) Bangzi system, (4) Pihuang system, and (5) others.
