Oitaiko - Kyudaisu

〘Noun〙 A type of shelf used in the tea ceremony. It is smaller than a daisu, with only two pillars instead of the four. The one favored by Rikyu was also used for a furo (furo) , while the one favored by Sotan was used for a ro. 〘名〙 茶の湯に使う、棚物の一種。台子の四本柱を略して、二本柱としたもので、台子よりも小さい。利休好みのものは風炉(ふろ)にも用いるが、宗旦好みのものは炉に用いる。〔茶道筌蹄（1816）〕
