Asteroidea is a type of starfish that is found in the ocean and is classified as a type of echinoderm.

There are approximately 2,000 species in the world, and around 280 species inhabit Japan, including starfish, sand starfish (illustration), maple shells (illustration), starfish, river star, red starfish (illustration), blue starfish, pectinate starfish (illustration), crown-of-thorns starfish (illustration), Rhododendron starfish, octopus starfish, Japanese starfish (illustration), and manju starfish.
