…The point southwest of the city where Mount Cuiluo sinks into the Yangtze forms a steep cliff and has long been one of the key points controlling the Yangtze. It was called Niuzhuoiso because a golden ox once appeared from the shore, and Caishiiso because it produces five-colored stones. It is one of the three famous scenic spots on the Yangtze, along with Yanziiso in Nanjing and Chenglingiso in Yueyang, Hunan. It is said that Li Bai of the Tang Dynasty lived here in his later years and drowned while on a boat trying to catch the moon reflected in the water. The Taibai Tower and Tsuyuetai are built to commemorate this event. …
