...Depending on the color, Demekin are divided into three varieties: Akademe (red eyes) (illustration), Kurodeme (black eyes) and Sanshikideme (three-colored eyes, also called Calico Deme) (illustration). Those with both eyes protruding backwards are called Chotengan (vertical eyes).
