Inversion - Gyakui
A type of chromosomal abnormality in which the sequence of genes on a chromosome is partially reversed.
2. In an organism with an asymmetrical morphology, the internal organs and other parts of the body are arranged in the opposite direction to normal. When the eyes of a flounder or plaice are in the opposite position, this is called lateral situs inversus.

染色体異常の一。染色体上の遺伝子の配列順序が部分的に逆転したもの。
左右非対称の形態をもつ生物で、内臓や器官などの配置が通常とは逆になること。ヒラメやカレイの目の位置が逆になる場合は、側面逆位ともいう。
