Han Yong-un

Korean poet, monk, and independence activist. His real name was Han Yu-cheon, and his pen name was Manhae, and his Buddhist name was Ryuun. He was born in Hongseong, South Chungcheong Province. He devoted his life to the independence movement, including signing the Declaration of Independence during the March 1st Independence Movement (1919), and to the Buddhist reform movement. 朝鮮の詩人，僧侶，独立運動家。本名は韓裕天，号は万海，竜雲は法名。忠清南道洪城生れ。三・一独立運動（1919年）での独立宣言書への署名をはじめとする独立運動と，仏教改革運動に生涯を捧げた。その一方，詩集《ニムの沈黙》（1926年）や《仏教維新論》（1913年）などを著した。
