Hui faction - Kiha

… The Ming Dynasty's Wen Peng (1498-1573) was skilled in calligraphy and painting, and was also a master of seal carving. He reformed the sinuous seal script used in the Song and Yuan dynasties into a square one, elevated seal carving to the level of art, and as the leader of the Wu school, founded modern literati seal carving. His disciple He Zhen (?-1604) surpassed his master in sword technique with his blue-power sword, established stone seal carving as an undisputed master, and was called the founder of the Hui school. The "Hui School" saw the emergence of over a dozen schools, including Liang Pu, Su Xuan, Zhu Jian, Jiang Haochen, Cheng Pu, and Wang Guan. Around this time, seal engravers who were not just a literati hobbyist but specialized in seal engravings, known as "innin," appeared, and were well versed in seal studies and specialized in seal engraving. Many of these were concentrated in the provinces of Anhui and Zhejiang, and their works were compiled into the Seal Collection.

…　明代の文彭(1498‐1573)は書画に巧みであったほか，兼ねて篆刻の名手であり，宋･元以来の曲がりくねった篆書を方正なものに改めて，刻印を芸術の域にまで高め，〈呉門派〉の領袖として近代文人篆刻を創始した。彼の弟子の何震(？‐1604)は刀法が蒼勁で師にまさり，石章篆刻を不動のものとし，〈徽派〉の始祖と称された。〈徽派〉には，梁袠（りようちつ），蘇宣，朱簡，江皜臣（こうこうしん），程朴，汪関など十数家が次々と輩出し，このころになると，文人の余技としてでなく，印人と称される印学に詳しく刻印を業とする専門の篆刻家があらわれ，彼らは多く安徽･浙江の両省に集中し作品は印譜にまとめられた。…
