Nobutoshi Kinoshita

Nobutoshi Kinoshita
1577-1642 Azuchi-Toyotomi - A daimyo in the early Edo period.
Born in 1570. The third son of Kinoshita Iesada. Served under Toyotomi Hideyoshi. When his father was in charge of Osaka Castle, he defended Himeji Castle in Harima (Hyogo Prefecture), his father's castle, and during the Battle of Sekigahara, he joined Tokugawa Ieyasu and attacked Fukuchiyama Castle in Tanba (Kyoto Prefecture). In 1603, he became the first head of the Kinoshita family to rule Hiji Domain in Bungo (Oita Prefecture). He had a fief of 30,000 koku. He died on January 7, 1626. He was 66 years old.

天正(てんしょう)5年生まれ。木下家定の3男。豊臣秀吉につかえる。父が大坂城留守居役のとき,その居城播磨(はりま)(兵庫県)姫路城をまもり,関ケ原の戦いでは徳川家康に属して丹波福知山城(京都府)を攻める。慶長6年豊後(ぶんご)(大分県)日出(ひじ)藩主木下家初代。3万石。寛永19年1月7日死去。66歳。
