A town in Kitakatsuragi County in the mid-western part of the Nara Basin, Nara Prefecture. Located almost in the center of the Umami Hills, it produces watermelons, strawberries, and grapes. It is becoming a commuter town for Osaka. 6.14 km2 . Population: 23,728 (2010).
