Kisokoma Plateau

Japanese: 木曾駒高原 - きそこまこうげん

A plateau in southwest Nagano Prefecture, spreading across the northwestern slope of Mt. Komagatake, the main peak of the Kiso Mountains. It is 1000-1100m above sea level. It was once a ranch on Kisokoma, but since 1965, golf courses, ski resorts, villas, hotels, and other facilities have been built here, and it has rapidly developed into a resort destination for visitors from the Chukyo region. It has great views of Mt. Ontake and Mt. Norikura, and the mountain stream is also a good fishing spot.

長野県南西部，木曾山脈の主峰駒ヶ岳の北西斜面に広がる高原。標高 1000～1100m。木曾駒の牧場であったが，高原地形に乏しい木曾谷にあって，1965年頃からゴルフ場，スキー場，別荘，ホテルなどが設けられ，中京方面からの保養観光地として急速に発展した。御嶽山，乗鞍山の眺めがよく，渓流は釣場ともなっている。
