Mechanical Vibration Theory

...Mechanical mechanics deals with dynamic problems related to such machines. The main focus is on mechanical vibrations, which deals with balancing problems to ensure smooth operation of reciprocating machines such as engines, torsional vibrations of transmission shafts, and balancing and whirling of rotating machines, but new mechanical mechanics is also focusing on problems closely related to ergonomics, such as the ride comfort and driving performance of railway cars and automobiles. In mechanical systems where heat and fluids play a major role, such as nuclear power plants, their effects greatly affect the operating characteristics of the machine, so thermodynamics and fluid mechanics are also closely related to mechanical mechanics.
