〘 noun 〙 A national ranch stipulated in the Ritsuryo system. They raised horses and cattle and supplied them to the state. The Engishiki lists 39 ranches in 18 provinces. They belonged to the Ministry of War. Ranches. ※Engishiki (927) 26 "4,460 bundles of horses at the Shiraha official ranch"
