A late Edo period research essay. Three volumes and six books. Volume 1 is three books, Volume 2 is three books. Written by Takizawa Sokichi (Kyokutei Bakin). Illustrations by Kinrei and Watanabe Kazan. Volume 1 was published in 1818 , Volume 2 in 1820. The author makes his points, mainly about the heavens and the earth, people, animals and plants, with extensive references and supporting evidence. At the beginning of the book, 298 citations are included. The title "Gendo" means indiscriminate. 江戸後期の考証随筆。三巻六冊。一集三冊、二集三冊。滝沢瑣吉(曲亭馬琴)著。琴嶺・渡辺崋山画。一集は文政元年(一八一八)、二集は三年(一八二〇)刊。主として天地、人物、動植物に関し博引傍証して著者の主張を述べる。巻頭に引用書物二九八部を付載する。題名の「玄同」は無差別の意。
