Goose claws
〘 noun 〙 (named after its shape resembling a wild goose's claw) 1. An iron rake-like agricultural tool with three to five curved claws. Used to remove weeds from rice fields. There are also ones that are worn on the fingertips and resemble the claws of a koto. Crab claw. [Season: Summer] *Hagakure (around 1716) 5 "Preparing hooks and wild goose claws for each ship" 2. A tool used to rake up ore and coal. Similar to 1, but the tip is not curved.
