Candelilla wax

Japanese: カンデリラ蠟 - かんでりらろう
Candelilla wax

...Its main components are esters of myricyl alcohol and cerotic acid, and its melting point is 78-84°C, the highest of any wax, making it highly used as a polishing agent. Candelilla wax, obtained from Pedilanthus pavonis and Euphorbia antisyphilitica, which are found in North America and Mexico and belong to the Euphorbiaceae family, is also commercially available and is used in candles, records, wire coating materials, and polishing. Other waxes include palm wax, which is secreted to cover the surface of palm trees; sweet potato wax, which is found in sugarcane stalks and is obtained as a by-product of the sugar industry; jojoba wax (also called jojoba oil, an oily wax) obtained from the seeds of Simmondsia californica , which belongs to the box family and is found in the southwestern United States and northern Mexico; and wax obtained by rotting and crushing the bark of plants from the Ilex and Acanthaceae families.
