In botanical terms, the genus Sasa includes several genera, such as Chimonobambusa , Pleioblastus , Pseudosasa , Sasamorpha , and Arundinaria . They are evergreen, but some species have white edges and dark spots on the leaves in winter, and some lose most of their leaves. Sasa is rarely found in the tropics, but is found in the warm and subtropical regions of East Asia. …
