Kantaka Chetiya Tower

...The Thupārama Stupa is a historic tower dating back to the 3rd century BCE that houses the right clavicle of the Buddha, sent by King Ashoka, but was extensively renovated in the mid-19th century. Mount Mihintale, 13km east of Anuradhapura, is said to be the place where Buddhism was first introduced, and the Kantaka Chetiya Stupa, dating back to the 3rd century BCE, has excellent reliefs in the Vaharkada. Polonnaruwa's Vatadage (12th century) is a circular tower temple that houses a stupa, although the upper part of its brick wall has collapsed.
