He is said to have been the son of King Wen of the Zhou Dynasty in China and the brother of the Duke of Zhou. His name was Xian. When King Wu destroyed the Yin Dynasty and enfeoffed Wugeng in the former Yin territory, he was feuded in Henan along with his brother Cai Shu and others to watch over Wugeng. However, after King Wu's death, he rebelled against Wugeng and was destroyed by the Duke of Zhou and others. 中国，周の文王の子，周公旦の兄弟と伝えられる。名は鮮。武王が殷を滅ぼして，殷の故地に武庚を封じたとき，その監視役として弟の蔡叔らとともに河南に封建されたが，武王死後武庚と通じて反乱を起し，周公らに滅ぼされたという。
