...Because they are based on divine oracles, they are originally spoken in the first person, such as "I... I...". They are all passed down orally, using atomte‐itak (meaning "ornamented words"), which is slightly different from everyday language, but the details other than the plot and clichés change with each passing episode, influenced by the personality and skill of the storyteller. Yukar are divided into "yukar of the gods" and "yukar of humans" (Figure).
