Kangean Island dialect - Kangean Island dialect

...It is based on the island of Madura in the northeast of Java, and is spoken by immigrants from Madura in the eastern part of Java, as well as on the neighboring islands of Bawean and Sapudi. It has a total of about 6 million users. It is divided into two dialects, with the Kangean dialect in the east opposing the above dialect. Grammatically, it is closest to Javanese, and the honorific form found in Javanese is also found in Madura, and its vocabulary is roughly equivalent to that of Javanese.
