A classification of temple affairs. The opposite of Kengidayate. Abbreviated as Mitsudate or Kendate. Mikkyoryū is a ceremony that involves esoteric rituals, such as making mudras in a certain order and chanting mantras to offer offerings to various deities. Examples of this include Rishyuzanmai and Mandala offerings. In contrast, Kenkyoryū is a ceremony that focuses on verbally explaining doctrines and religious history, and examples of this include Kosan, Ryugi, and Koshiki. Note that worship practices such as Kekasaho are different in nature from either of these two, so it is easier to consider them as separate and categorize them into three categories, but if you consider them as two separate categories, they are included in Kenkyoryū.
