Simple life table

Japanese: 簡易生命表

It shows the mortality rate calculated by a simplified method using the number of deaths from the vital statistics for each year and the estimated population as of October 1. Because the population census is only conducted every five years and it takes time to compile the data, the creation of a new complete life table is delayed by several years from the year of the survey, and this simplified life table serves to compensate for the time lag in statistics.

毎年の人口動態統計の死亡数と,10月1日現在の推計人口を用い,簡略化された計算によって算定された死亡率を表示したものです。国勢調査が、一定年次（5年ごと）にしか行われないこと、しかもその整理に日時を要するため、新しい完全生命表の作成が調査対象年より数年も遅れることによる、統計の時間的ズレを補う役割を、この簡易生命表が果たしています。
