Thanatocoenosis - Remains of a corpse

Japanese: 遺骸群集 - いがいぐんしゅう（英語表記）thanatocoenosis

A combination of animals or plants that comes together after their death [Wasmund: 1926, Dunbar & Rodgers: 1957]. It refers to a collection of dead organisms, and is the opposite of a biocoensis. There are various definitions of a necrotic community, including whether or not they constituted the same community when the organisms were alive [Kimura et al.: 1973]. The Greek words thanatos means death, and koinos means to share in common.

動物または植物が，その死後集まった際の組合せ［Wasmund : 1926, Dunbar & Rodgers : 1957］．死んだ生物体の集まりを意味し，生体群集（biocoensis）に対する語．遺骸群集は生きていた時に同一の群集を構成していた，いなかったなど定義は様々である［木村ほか : 1973］．ギリシャ語のthanatosは死，koinosは共通に分担するの意味．
