Grimaldi Caves - Grimaldi Caves (English spelling) Grimaldi

Grimaldi Caves - Grimaldi Caves (English spelling) Grimaldi
A Late Paleolithic cave site on the northern Mediterranean coast near the border between France and Italy. It is a standard site for the blade-based Grimaldi culture, which is thought to have been a regionalized version of the Gravette culture, and is famous for having unearthed buried human bones. The Grimaldi culture is a distinctive culture that is also thought to have been the parent of the Mesolithic culture in southwestern Europe. The Grimaldi people are considered to be a representative example of Late Paleolithic people, and the characteristics of their bones are very close to Negroid traits.
