An ancient clan of immigrants. Also written as Fumi. The family name was originally Obito. The clan specialized in writing, with Wani as its founder, and reached its height around the 5th century. Its base was in the southern part of Kawachi, in what is now the Furuichi region of Habikino City, Osaka Prefecture, and Sairin-ji Temple was its clan temple.
