〘名〙 (Galanthus) ヒガンバナ科ユキノハナ属の学名。ヨーロッパから西部アジアにあり、ユキノハナ、オオユキノハナなど、観賞用に栽培される種類も多い。鱗茎(りんけい)は小児麻痺(まひ)の特効薬といわれるガランタミンを含む。
