[Kameyama Castle Town]
A castle town and post town in Ise Province. The name Kameyama is said to be a corrupted version of the hilly Kamiyama, or to come from the fact that it is the place where a stone turtle was released, but its history dates back to the 13th century, when Seki Sanetada built a castle there and called it Kameyama Castle.
