Turtle section - Kamebushi

〘 noun 〙 A type of dried bonito. It is made by filleting a small bonito and cutting the meat into a flat turtle shell shape. It is cheaper than honbushi, which is made from the back meat. 〘名〙 鰹節(かつおぶし)の一種。小鰹(こがつお)を三枚におろし、その肉を亀の甲のような形に平たく製した鰹節。背肉で作った本節(ほんぶし)よりは値が安い。かめのこぶし。※東京の三十年（1917）〈田山花袋〉ＫとＴ「今度は小さな亀節(カメブシ)を買って来た」
