〘Noun〙 In miscellaneous haiku, the first five characters are used as the title, followed by the seven middle characters and the last five characters to make up one verse. Kasaduke (with a hat) . Eboshizuke (with a cap) . Kamuriku (with a crown) . Kanmurizuke (with a crown). ⇔Kutsudzuke (with sandals). ※Haikai, Makibashira (1697), about the addition of the front verse: "Is it said that there are no seasons or cutting characters when it comes to things like kanmurizuke and eboshizuke?" [Eloquence] (1) Kasaduke (with a hat) from Kamigata was introduced to Edo and became popular as "kanmurizuke" and "eboshizuke." (2) It was practiced extensively from the time of Genroku ( 1688-1704 ) and became an important form of zahai. The style changed accordingly, and various types were born, such as the "Ogura-fuku" which was limited to poems from the Ogura Hyakunin Isshu and the "Saigoku-fuku" which was based on poems from sacred places, with elaborate five-character themes.
