Japanese: 神語 - かんがたり

〘Noun〙 (In ancient times, it was also called "Kamu-gatari". An abbreviation of " Kangatari-uta" ( Divine Word Song). A type of folk song from ancient times. A narrative song about Yachihoko -no-kami, handed down by the Amagatari-be (Heavenly Words Department) . It has the final line "Even the words of the matter are thus, " and is found in the first volume of the Kojiki. *Kojiki (712), Vol. 1 "These are called Kamu- gatari (Divine Words) ." [Additional Note] There is also a theory that reads it as "Kangot." Kami-gatari [God's language]

〘名〙 (古くは「かむがたり」とも。「神語歌(かんがたりうた)」の略) 上代歌謡の一種。天語部(あまがたりべ)によって伝承された八千矛神(やちほこのかみ)に関する物語歌。「事の語言(かたりごと)も是をば」という終句を持ち、「古事記」上巻にある。※古事記（712）上「此れを神語(かむがたり)と謂ふ」[補注]「かんごと」と訓む説もある。また、同じ終句を持ち、形式上類似するものに天語歌(あまがたりうた)がある。→天語歌
